What to expect
Your first Sunday, made simple.
Walking into a new church can feel intimidating. Here's what a typical Sunday morning at Heritage looks like.
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10 AM. When you arrive, you will be greeted by our greeting team, who are happy to answer any questions you have! There are also optional English Bible Study & Estudio Bíblico en Español that begins at 9 AM. All are welcome to join.
Our church service begins with a welcome, along with praise songs. After this, we will take up an offering (please do not feel obligated to give during the offering - we are just happy that you are with us!). Then, we will be led in congregational prayer and after, the children are dismissed for the children's programs. Our speaker will then preach a sermon on a portion of Scripture. After, we have a final praise song, closing announcements to let people know what is happening in the life of our church, and a benediction.
During our Sunday service, we have two programs for children. For children aged 0-5, we have nursery with two fully screened volunteers. Our volunteers may read a children's Bible, do crafts, or play with the children. For children in grades 1-6, we have Learning Center (which is our name for Sunday School). Two fully screened volunteers will teach the Bible to the children, as well as do crafts with them and allow them time to socialize with other children.
After church, you are welcome to join us for coffee, tea, snacks, and a time for us to get to know you! On the last Sunday of every month (except in July & August), you are invited to stay after church for our Potluck Lunch.
